Project Executive / Engagement Manager

Job Description:

This individual is responsible for helping clients implement and manage the Blue Sage platform to achieve productivity and other strategic client objectives.  This role represents the entire range of company products/services to assigned clients, while leading the client account team ensuring clients’ needs and expectations are met. To succeed in this role, the candidate will need to communicate well and multi-task under tight deadlines.  The individual in this role represents Blue Sage at the senior executive level and understand business initiatives of assigned accounts from senior to mid-level directives.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing all aspects of implementing and managing the BSS platform for clients this includes but it not limited to defining requirements, configuring the system, integrating to external systems and managing releases
    • Assisting customers with using our services throughout projects
    • Helping solve client problems and managing the project team
    • Ensuring customers are receiving outstanding service
    • Helping clients maximize the benefits of utilizing the BSS platform
  • Review all enhancement requests, making sure when appropriate that product roadmap is updated to include new features of value to clients in general
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates client needs on an ongoing basis
  • Coordinate solution development efforts that best address client needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel
  • Represent company in a professional way that will build trust with accounts and relationships by being a complete expert in the field and with company products and processes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all levels of management with clients
  • Lead quarterly business reviews for assigned accounts
  • Keep abreast of industry events and regulatory requirements
  • Be an advisor to the clients and be able to forecast future initiatives, products and processes

Skills Required

  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Deep knowledge of mortgage industry and compliance requirements
  • Outstanding project management skills
  • Strong knowledge of system implementation and IT best practices
  • Outstanding problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to direct development staff to assist in design of new functions and troubleshooting
  • Comfortable working with DBA resources to implement scripts and other database updates

Experience Required

  • Proven experience as an Engagement Manager or Project Executive
  • 10+ years working for mortgage lender or mortgage software provider
  • 15+ years as a project manager or IT department manager
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or technology is preferred.  A history of working with senior level management is a plus
